Testicular sperm aspiration (TESA) is a microsurgical procedure when testicular ducts are taken from the testicles, and they are searched for sperm cells.

When is TESA applied?

TESA can be performed for diagnostic purposes when after the semen analysis sperm could not be found. Moreover, sperm extracted by this method is used during the ICSI procedure.
